Board Member Opportunities Terms Beginning September 2026:

Wilsonville Little League is a volunteer-run organization led by parents, coaches, and community members who are passionate about providing a positive baseball and softball experience for local youth. Each fall, board positions are elected for the upcoming season. The positions listed below are expected to be vacated by current volunteers and will be open for election beginning in September 2026. If you're interested in learning more, we encourage you to attend one of our summer board meetings and explore how you can help shape the future of Wilsonville Little League. President:

The President provides overall leadership for Wilsonville Little League and helps guide the league's vision, priorities, and operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, collaboration, and community building.

Responsibilities include:
- Leading board meetings and league planning efforts
- Overseeing league operations and board committees
- Supporting board members and volunteers
- Serving as the primary liaison with Little League International and District leadership
- Helping ensure a positive experience for players, families, coaches, and volunteers

Player Agent: 

The Player Agent serves as an advocate for players and families while helping ensure a fair and positive experience throughout the season. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, communicates well, values fairness, and enjoys helping create a positive experience for all players.

Responsibilities include:

- Overseeing player registration and division placement
- Coordinating player evaluations and drafts where applicable
- Assisting with team formation in accordance with Little League guidelines
- Serving as a resource for families regarding player placement and league policies
- Helping resolve player and team concerns when needed
- Working closely with coaches, league leadership, and other board members to support a successful season

Events Coordinator: 

The Events Coordinator helps plan and organize league's most memorable experiences throughout the year, which currently includes our annual Home Run Derby in June and an end of the Minor League game. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys planning, organizing, and bringing people together.

Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating league events and celebrations
- Assisting with the Home Run Derby and other fundraising events
- Helping organize Picture Day
- Recruiting volunteers for event support

Safety Officer:

The Safety Officer helps ensure a safe environment for all players, coaches, volunteers, and families. This role is well-suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about player safety.

Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the league's Safety Plan
- Assisting with incident reporting and documentation
- Supporting safety education for coaches and volunteers
- Monitoring field and facility safety concerns
- Serving as a resource for safety-related questions

Tee Ball Development Coordinator:

The Tee Ball Development Coordinator focuses on creating a positive first experience for the league's youngest players. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young players and helping families build a lifelong love of the game.

Responsibilities include:
- Supporting Tee Ball coaches throughout the season
- Assisting with player development resources and activities
- Helping maintain age-appropriate league expectations
- Identifying opportunities to improve the Tee Ball experience for players and families
- Supporting recruitment and retention efforts for new families

Sponsorship Coordinator:

The Sponsorship Coordinator helps build relationships with local businesses that support Wilsonville Little League. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys networking, relationship building, and community engagement.

Responsibilities include:
- Recruiting new sponsors
- Maintaining relationships with existing sponsors
- Coordinating sponsor recognition and benefits
- Supporting fundraising initiatives
- Helping ensure sponsors feel valued and connected to the league

Field Maintenance Coordinator:

The Field Maintenance Coordinator helps oversee the condition, safety, and readiness of Wilsonville Little League's playing fields throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on projects, takes pride in maintaining community spaces, and wants to make a direct impact on the player experience. No professional groundskeeping experience is required—just a willingness to learn, organize volunteers, and help keep our fields looking their best.

Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating field preparation and maintenance efforts
- Organizing volunteer field work days
- Monitoring field conditions and identifying maintenance needs
- Working with league leadership and local partners on field improvement projects
- Helping ensure fields are safe, playable, and ready for practices and games
